FAQ

Everything else you might need to know!

Dress code

What is the dress code?

We kindly ask you to dress appropriately for the occasion, adding a festive touch to our wedding celebration. For gentlemen, this typically means a suit ;)

Is there a colour code?

There's no specified colour code. Please just keep in mind that the colour white is reserved for the bride.

Wedding gifts

Our greatest gift would be for you to celebrate the day with us! And we especially appreciate you making the journey to visit us. If you would still like to give us a small present, we would appreciate a donation towards our honeymoon.

Photos

May I take photos at the wedding?

Our photographer will be present throughout the day. During the ceremony, we kindly ask that you refrain from taking your own photos and instead enjoy the moment with us, whilst leaving the capturing of the ceremony to our photographer.

For the rest of the day: Of course, yes, please take pictures! We would love to see you capture your own memories. We'd also love you to share your photos with us later.

Will we be able to see the photographs later?

All photos will be made available digitally after the wedding and will be shared with you.

RSVP (answering the invitation)

We kindly ask for an early RSVP, ideally as soon as possible! :)

To accept or decline your invitation, you can use the response form or simply inform us (or our family) personally.

We understand that not everyone can provide a final answer this early, but we would be grateful for an indication about whether you plan on spending the day with us, to assist us in our planning.

We also understand that life can sometimes get in the way of even the best-laid plans. In this case, please let us know of any changes as soon as possible.

Speeches

We welcome anyone who wishes to give a speech in German, English or even Serbian! The time during and after dinner would be the best opportunity. Please let us know in advance for timing coordination purposes. You can even let us know in the invitation response form.

Dancing

Those who know us well might also know that we're clearly more the bar-type people than dancers. However, there will still be a DJ, and you're welcome to dance as much as you like - but please don't expect too much from us! We're looking forward to celebrating with you and having a great time, whether on the dance floor or at the bar!

Special dietary requests

Vegans and vegetarians, we've got you covered! All other guests with special dietary requests or food intolerances, please let us know with your RSVP acceptance, but no later than February 1, 2025, so we can plan your meal accordingly.

Can I bring my partner?

Generally, your partner is welcome. If we've unintentionally overlooked your partner in our invitation and you'd like them to come, please reach out to us directly - we're sure we can figure something out!

Please just keep in mind that for planning purposes, we need to know who is attending. Therefore, please don't surprise us with your partner on the actual wedding day.

Short holiday in and around Düsseldorf?

For those of you staying a couple of days longer, we recommend exploring our hometown of Düsseldorf! From the modern harbour area (Medienhafen), with its TV tower and architecture, to the infamous Bolkerstraße, known for its many clubs and bars, to the Japanese Quarter or a luxury shopping spree on the famous "Kö", the city has a lot to offer.

Close-by cities that are only a short train or car ride away and worth visiting include Cologne, Münster, Bonn, and Aachen.

You can also easily reach Amsterdam from Düsseldorf within about 2.5 hours by car or train, making it a great day trip but also suitable for a longer stay. Additionally, you can spend a few days exploring the Dutch beaches (although keep in mind that early May will not be ideal swimming weather in the Netherlands yet!).

Just as close by as Amsterdam are the Dutch cities of Rotterdam and The Hague, or, if you'd rather go to Belgium, the cities of Brussels, Antwerp, and Ghent. Or, just slightly further, even Luxembourg

As you can see, there is a lot to see, visit, and do in the area. We have plenty of hotel, restaurant, and excursion recommendations for you - just reach out to us!
